Thymes Garden Alchemy Rosemary Sage Shower Gel

Thymes Garden Alchemy Rosemary Sage Shower Gel ($18) is an invigorating, moisturizing shower gel enriched with extracts of willow herb and calendula. The packaging is adorable and the shower gel smells so amazingly fresh, crisp and light!

Although it has a slightly runnier texture than most shower gels, you only need a small amount for a good lather. The scent isn't overpowering or strong. It is perfect if you like refreshing, citrus based scents. I love to use it in my morning shower since it feels super energizing and the smell lingers on for a while even after I get out of the shower. I like how it manages to leave me feeling squeaky clean without drying me out the least bit. Overall, a perfect clean and fresh scent that I would love to use any time of the year for a luxuriously fragranced shower. I am a sucker for shower gels and gravitate towards such scents a lot. I also like how the Thymes Garden Alchemy shower gel is free of SLS and Parabens.

MAC Jubilee Lipstick

Jubilee ($14.50) , described as a naked-beigy pink is another nude lipstick from MAC that works well on my complexion, just like Hug Me. It is slightly more pink than Hug Me and does not wash me out when paired with neutral or dark eye makeup.

MAC Jubilee Lustre Lipstick

Since Jubilee is a lustre finish, it is quite sheer and has a glossy sheen to it. It is rather difficult to find good nudes that don't make you look like a corpse especially for medium/dark skin tones. Jubilee is perfect when you don't want too much color on you lips but, you could always top it off with a good gloss if you want something more. Also since I have very pigmented lips, the color works really well to even out my lips giving it a healthy sheen. Lustres are not among my favourite finishes from MAC as they tend to dry out my lips a little after the color fades (about 2 hours) but, the texture makes flesh tones and nudes wearable without erasing lips completely. If you fall in the NC35-42 range and have a hard time finding wearable, natural looking nudes, Jubilee is worth checking out.

BITE Beauty Lush Lip Tints

BITE Beauty's Lush Lip Tints ($24) are a new launch for summer. Formulated with Argan Oil, Vitamin E and fruit butters, these provide hydration and nourishment with a beautiful, natural looking tint. The center 'B' of the stick provides resveratrol, a double dose of antioxidants found in red wine.

L-R : Watermelon, Tangelo

L-R : Watermelon, Tangelo

I love the packaging and the design of these lip tints. They are a nice size and the color is just perfect if you are looking for a sheer lipstick without the heavy feel. They go on super smooth and feel ultra moisturizing even without a lip balm. Watermelon is a mid-tone pink with a silky texture and Tangelo is a peachy coral. I did find the texture of Watermelon a little more smooth compared to Tangelo. Tangelo did cling on to lip dryness just a little bit initially. I love how these leave lips looking moist and feel super comfortable without being too glossy. They fade after about 2-3 hours and leave a nice subtle tint behind.

Overall, I absolutely love the BITE Beauty Lush Lip Tints! They are amazing, come in great colors and feel very nice and light on lips. I would definitely get myself a shade or two more!

butter LONDON LIPPY Lipgloss

LIPPY is a range of long-wearing, lacquer-like lip glosses in shades to match our famous nail lacquers. Like the butter LONDON nail lacquers, LIPPY colours are rich and heavily pigmented for a look that is deliberate, high fashion, and luxe. LIPPY does not contain parabens, phthalates, sulphates, or bismuth. If you’re being LIPPY, look the part.

The LIPPY ($17) Lip glosses come in matching shades as the nail polishes so you can match your lips and tips. They come in a range of wearable shades that makes it easy to match them to your nails. The texture of these glosses are a little thick, they go on very pigmented and smooth.

L-R : Trout Pout, Snog

Snog is a hot pink with no shimmer/glitter. The LIPPY and the nail polish are very wearable and complement most skin tones really well.  Trout Pout is a bright, coral pink, a perfect shade for summer. The LIPPY isin't the most flattering shade on me but, the nail polish is something I've worn a lot on my toes this summer! The gloss pairs very well with a darker, smokey eye since it is quite pale on its own. As for the staying power, these glosses last about 3 hours on me and feel quite moisturing, more like a liquid lipstick. They do however have a very strong fragrance that I'm not very fond of. I wish they had toned down the fragrance a little since the formula wears comfortably. If you don't like fragrance in your lip products, you might be put off by the very strong fragrance of LIPPY.

L-R : Snog, Trout Pout

Overall, although I love the smooth texture and the pigmentation of this gloss, I would recommend you take a sniff before buying it. If you don't have a problem with a lot of fragrance in your lip products, LIPPY is worth indulging in!

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks in Calypso Coral

Bobbi Brown's Pot Rouges ($24) are some of my favourite cream cheek products for summer. The formula is creamy but, does not melt even when the weather gets extremely hot and humid. I love how it blends beautifully even on dry skin, leaving a soft, dewy finish that looks extemely natural.

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Calypso Coral Review

Calypso Coral is a bright coral with hints of pink. It goes on pretty pigmented and since it is super bright, it makes for a very flattering shade on medium/dark skin tones. The texture is creamy and goes on smooth with or without a primer on. I like how it blends effortlessy and suprisingly stays put much longer than a lot of cream cheek products I've tried. If you want to add a pop of color, you could layer another powder blush over Calypso Coral. The packaging has now been changed to a flip-top compact but eitherways, it may not be the most hygenic since I always find that fingers work best to blend out cream products like these.

Although it is supposed to be a multi-tasking product for cheeks and lips, I do find the texture a little drying on my lips. If your lips aren't prone to too much flaking and dryness it might work as a great tint. Overall, the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Calypso Coral is a fantastic bright blush that I reach out to pretty often. If you have dry skin and love cream products, this one is a must-have!

Anastasia See And Be Seen Kit

Anastasia's new See And Be Seen Kit ($44) is a limited-edition value set for face and eyes. The four-piece kit comes with 2 Hydrafull Glosses in Heiress and Plastic, Tinted Brow Gel in Caramel & Illumin8 Eyeshadow Duo in On Set.

The glosses in Heiress (Coral Red) and Plastic( Hot Pink) both have a smooth, glossy creme finish with no shimmer or glitter. They are quite pigmented for a lip gloss and the color can be toned down for a sheer look too. Although slightly sticky, they feel very moisturizing, more like a liquid lipstick. I'm not very fond of the applicator which is just a thin plastic wand. Considering the smooth texture of these glosses, a sponge applicator would have been amazing to work with. These glosses also tend to stain lips once they're gone, after about 2-3 hours. I love the way these glosses feel and both the shades are perfect, bright, at the same time wearable for summer.

Plastic

Heiress

                                                                               L-R : Heiress, Plastic

The Tinted Brow Gel in Caramel is a dark taupe-y brown with a metallic sheen. I did find the metallic sheen a little odd and the color is a little light for my brows. A dark brown would have been a better choice for my dark brows. I find brow gels quite convenient to use but, this would have been better without the metallic sheen.

Illumin8 Eyeshadow Duo in On Set comes with a shimmery bronzy brown and a lighter beigy-pink. Both colors complement each other well and pair really well with the glosses. The eye shadows seem to be of great quality and pack a lot of pigment. They blend like a dream and go on smooth even without a primer on. I love to grab the bronzy shade for a neutral eye and use a darker color along the crease. For how smooth the eye shadows are, the amount of fallout was also very minimal.

Overall, the See and Be Seen Kit is a pretty good value considering the quality of the eye shadows and the full size glosses. The colors are very impressive and easy to work with too!

Melvita Rose Nectar Cleansing Milk & Moisturizer

Melvita's Rose Nectar line features a few fabulous face products that are infused with wild rose petal essence to soothe and hydrate dry skin. Both the cleanser and moisturizer smell like a bunch of fresh roses, so amazingly refreshing.

Melvita Rose Nectar Cleansing Milk for Face & Eyes ($22) is a thick cleansing lotion that spreads wonderfully and removes most makeup effectively. It was gentle enough for my eyes and did not sting or irritate my eyes even the tiniest bit. It does struggle a little with waterproof eyeliner but, apart from that I found it to be very effective at removing face and eye makeup really well. It leaves a slight oily film so, be sure to use another mild cleanser to remove any residue. The pump packaging is very hygienic and I only need a pump for my face, neck and eyes. Overall, the Rose Nectar Cleansing Milk is a nice little treat that pampers skin while cleansing, leaving skin clean without stripping it of moisture!

I like to follow up the cleanser with Melvita's Rose Nectar Moisturizer ($42), a thick cream that feels rich on skin without being too greasy. I like to use this during the night in the summer but, when the weather gets a little more dry, this would be something I would love to use during the day & night. Although the cream tends to be a little bit on the thicker side, it sinks in well and you only need less than half a pump for face & neck. If you have very oily skin, it might be a little too much for you skin to completely absorb but, if you have combination/dry skin, this heavenly smelling cream is perfect.
